USWaited a long time for brown. G.I. Hip holster to be back in stock. Holster was made well, just like the old days. My leather experience helped me fit the holster. Soaked it in warm water until it got soft. Put my pistol in the holster wrapped in Saran Wrap and let it dry about 2 days. Then oiled the holster with leather oil like a baseball glove inside and out. Let it sit with pistol in it from 24 hours. Pulled the pistol in and out of the holster about 20 times to loosen it up. The flap holster is a great holster if your an outdoorsman.
USHave not broken in yet. Holster is well made classic design but is not 100 percent authentic to original. There are less rivets and the rivets are not like the original. The holster has a small puncture mark (stitching needle?) near the closing button. Leather seems looser than my original and some of the stitching stops where I think it could have gone a bit further based on my observation of an original stitching. The block insert seems smaller than the one in my original holster. Thickness and color are fantastic. Would have liked to have my leather tie down put into a classic hangman's noose during assembly but realize cost might have been a factor there. The closest competition wanted 2x the price of yours and not many companies even make this holster anymore, especially with US Leather and labor. Overall excellent quality for the price.
