United StatesLet me start by saying I am not disappointed with the quality of the holster that I received (Nakatomi shoulder holster for Glock G45 MOS). The issue is that I have the extended grip tang installed on my gun. I have gen 3 Glocks and I prefer the extended tang for duty use. I received the holster for Christmas 2025 and attempted to put the G45 in and found that the retention strap would not snap. The male portion of the strap only went about a third of the way to the female side of the snap. I contacted customer service and they said the strap was designed for glocks without the extended tang. Customer service suggested soaking the strap in neets foot oil and stretching it, once stretched let it dry and you’re in business. The strap is .20 of an inch thick. I soaked the strap and attempted to stretch it…….no luck but now my tan holster is black because of the oil. Glock has changed their pistol design and now the gen 6 has an integral extended tang. I will have to take my disfigured holster to a leather worker and have the strap modified. 1791 leather needs to redesign this model so that the strap only goes over the slide…..it’s a high quality holster it just does not meet my needs as is……now I will have to modify my splotchy oil soaked holster to use it.
USThe holster leather is great quality. I’m 6’2” 275 pounds and it fits great, a little break in over night in a plastic bag and you are ready to go. I can see with the quality leather and stitching this is going to last for many years. I like that without the belt loops when I bend forward the holster stays put and doesn’t peek out of my jacket. I purchased the horizontal carry and It is very adjustable.
USThe right looks and feels great. Definitely will last many years.
USit does take a while to get used to the stiff thin leather. But other wise it is comfortable and easy to use.
